Right now I am trying to decide if I would rather read my script or have it written to go with each picture/video clip.
There will be pictures to fill in the blanks of what I am talking about.

“When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” –Yogi Berra
Like many of you, I know transition very well.
Onlookers have given much support, yet might have wondered where I was going.
Many times I wondered the same thing.....but I have never been alone.
Looking back now … July 2014….my story is making more and more sense and has made me eternally grateful.
Why I chose Wheaton College to study English Literature & Urban Studies….
…my passions were birthed there;
Why my back injury held me BACK from teaching in Venezuela right away landing me in non-profit work in LA…
….Maturity, flexibility and vitality were tested and grew…
Why I spent 5 months in Argentina and Brazil on a sabbatical….
Faith and relationship with God was renewed, living in the present was practiced and old hopes were reborn….
…How I slowly walked down the path of education after 1 month intense TEFL training at SDSU and then later my MA in Reading….
….I learned how much I loved teaching and widened my scope of WHO I would teach & why…
…Why Venezuela mysteriously became my home for 3 years teaching elementary…
…I delightfully discovered kids were wonderful & teaching them is always an honor no matter where I am planted…
Why I found myself back home tutoring writing at San Diego City College…
…I discovered how much more I need to grow as a teacher & found that humility is key…
…And, finally, why I entered and will successfully complete UCSD’s EDS multiple subject credential program…
….I learned that being reflective on my teaching, staying true to my passions in education, and continuing to do what I love allows me to teach with excellence…oh...and being THANKFUL is vital!
Embarking on my 1st public school teaching opportunity as a 5th grade teacher, I will take all I have learned from Wheaton, SDSU, Los Angeles, South America and UCSD and continue learning as I take the forks in the road with confidence and joy!
